How to present wine like a sommelier

How to present wine like a sommelier
1. Present information of a bottle of wine to the guest
Before opening a battle of wine, must inform key information of that bottle of wine.
The name of the winery, the position from which wine comes and the year of the harvest.While a staff is informing detail of wine, the label on a bottle should be facing to the one who orders the wine.

For example : Sawad dee krap, may I present your wine. This is your Six Senses Yao Noi white wine Chenin Blanc 2018 from Thailand.

*  Type of wine ( Red, White, Rose, Dessert, Sparkling or Champagne )
 This is your white wine.
* Name of the Wine
Six Senses Yao Noi
* Grape Variety
Chenin Blanc
* Vintage
2018
* Region / Country
From Thailand

2. Remove the capsule
The capsule should be cut at the lower lip of the bottleneck, at the front and back without moving or shaking the bottle itself.  Remember that the label should always be visible to the guests. After removing the capsule top, put it in your pocket and be aware that during wine presentation, nothing should touch the table, not even the bottle. Next step is cleaning the upper part of the bottle for the first time with the napkin to remove any dust or mold.

3. Remove the cork cleanly and quietly
            Pull the cork out delicately. Once the cork is extracted, smell it and put it on the plate. This is done so that the guest can examine the cork, to make sure it's wet on the side that was in the bottle and dry on the outer end.  After that, you would clean the inner neck of the bottle from any residue and take a first taste.

4. Pour it up
       How to pour wine in guest’s glass is very special.
-       Firstly, the waiter or waitress should pour a small amount of wine to the one who orders wine’s glass for testing.
-       If the guest is satisfied with this bottle of wine, then normally pour wine to the next lady or the oldest person.
-      After everyone on the table got wine in their glasses, waiter will come to the guest who orders wine to pour a full amount of wine into his or her glass.
